First Video Blog

Posted on November 11, 2008
First Vlog Post
Here is an example of how you post a Video Blog (aka: Vlog) on your GraphicalData website's blog.

Here are the links to the free Video Servers I mentioned in the video.

Vimeo - My favorite
YouTube - Who doesn't know YouTube.
Photobucket - Pretty good site as well.

Now, I actually recorded this video on a site called EyeJot which is a free site that lets you send video email.  It gives you some Embed Code to post the video to your blog.  You get the same type of code from these other sites as well.

How to embed the code into your blog:
  1. Copy the embed code from the site you uploaded it to.
  2. Create a new Blog Entry.
  3. Click on the HTML at the bottom of the of Page Layout Tool.
  4. Paste the code into the HTML.
  5. Click back on Normal.
  6. You video will appear on your post.
  7. Start adding text around the video.
  8. You can change the location and formatting of the video just like you would a photo (align left, right, etc...).
  9. That's it.

Fall Has Arrived in Edmonds WA

Posted on October 13, 2008

Well, there's no dening that fall has arrived in Edmonds.  As I was getting ready for my kids' soccer games this weekend, I stepped outside to see what the weather was like and darn near froze to death.  The temperature was in the upper 30s.  It did warm up for the games to about 42 degrees.  Not quite warm enough for shorts.

I guess I can't compalin as this is what I chose when moving back here from Arizona which by the way was at 90 degrees this weekend.  If you are looking to move to Edmonds Wa and enjoy the beautiful fall colors and gorgeous Puget Sound views, feel free to click here (Edmonds Real Estate).

Edmonds in a Fog

Posted on October 2, 2008

Edmonds FogWell, October started with the big fog.  Wow, the fog was really thick Wednesday morning.  You could barely see downtown.  I would say the visibility was maybe 40 feet.  I took the ferry over to Kingston as usual and couldn't even see the water.  I really don't know how the boats do it.  Oh the joys of living near the water.  I wouldn't change it for the world.
